I do allot of laundry and I was finding that my front loading washing machine was starting to really stink and it seemed no amount of home remedies were resolving the problem. I did a little online research and discovered that bacteria gets in the door seals and small amounts of water left in the machine became a breeding ground for musty smelling bacteria. I also realized that that a majority of laundry detergents available in stores were a big part of the problem, the chemicals and toxins contained within these products were left behind in the machines and no amount of cleaning was ever going to eliminate this problem. A friend of mine had introduced me to Shaklee a green,non-toxic cleaning company, and I figured I might as well give their laundry detergent a try!
After about a week of using this detergent I discovered that my machine was losing its 'musty' smell and my clothes actually smelled CLEAN!
It is truly amazing to think that what I was using was actually making my machine less efficient. Switching to non-toxic and earth friendly cleaners has made such a difference and I can truly use my front-loader with joy!
